Holy Week Devotional: Day 6 - Supplication

Thank you for listening to Living Hope church’s Holy Week series. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be different from the previous two days.

The Crucifixion of Jesus - Mark 15:20-41

Jesus died for you and Jesus died for me. He died for us because we were in need of rescuing. Let us consider the immense love of the Father for us that he sent His Son to go to the cross for our redemption.

Let us give thanks for the goodness of God that moved him to pay such a price for our salvation. It was the greatest good that was accomplished on Good Friday when Jesus, the Lamb of God, took away the sin of the world. If He died for me, then I will live for Him. Let us reaffirm in unity that we live for Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

And while he is on that throne on the right hand of the Father, he intercedes on our behalf.

As we have reached the final day of our fast, let us boldly approach the throne of grace knowing that Jesus intercedes on our behalf with our requests. Let us cry out to God to move mightily in our midst. Let us call on the Lord to lead us and give provision for our needs. Let us call on the One who can do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine.

Holy Spirit, in the mighty name of Jesus we bring our requests to you. Increase your kingdom in Medina through us! Increase your manifest presence in our midst! We only go, if you go with us! Lead us to the next steps of the 2020 Direction you have given us. Give us unity that welcomes anyone. Be in our midst so that anyone who comes in contact with us knows that you are with us. Remove any hardness of heart, remove any stubbornness against you and enable us to walk in the fullness of your kingdom that is available until you come in glory. Amen.
